A pair of Chinese carved white marble pillow-form architectural elements, now converted into side tables.
The triple tiered form is reminiscent of a stack of luxurious pillows, with a carved decoration of billowing, scrolling clouds, some auspiciously shaped as ruyi heads. The rough hewn tops indicate these may have originally been column supports.
Carved from a beautiful white marble, with scatterings of quartz and silica, that catch the light and make the stone shine.
Each pedestal has been mounted to a recessed matte black metal base that conceals a set of casters, for ease of movement. The heavy glass tops are set upon four inset cylindrical posts.
Although currently configured as side tables, with a new, larger glass top, they could also easily serve as pedestals for a larger coffee table.
