A Pair of Tang Dynasty Grey Pottery Striding Horses with Removable Saddles. T.L tested
Description
A powerfully molded pair of early Tang Dynasty (618 – 906 AD) striding horses with removable saddles.
This fine pair of horses displays a strong sense of movement and well defined musculature. The male has his mouth open and nostrils flared, head bent downwards and turned ever so slightly to the side. The female, with her rounded belly, has much softer features. Her mouth is closed, head raised, and gazes intently ahead.
