Painted pottery figure of an opulent Chinese court woman with up-swept hair and standing in a simply draped robe from the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD). Her beauty is illuminated by the remaining painted imagery on her face, robe, and a gilded comb in her hair.

MATERIALS NOTES: Molded red pottery with applied pigments and gilding.
CONDITION: Good. Very good for age. Loss of some painted color

wear; however, otherwise in great condition. Expected repairs.
WEAR: Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses.
