Originally configured as a screen, now mounted and framed as separate panels. The front featuring a Classic, hand-painted design of birds (including magpies, kingfishers and pheasants) among branches of white and blue flowers (magnolia, dogwood, narcissus, chrysanthemum and China roses).
The design is painted on a translucent, tea stained rice paper, which has been overlaid on a metallic silver leaf patterned paper, giving the panels depth and texture not normally found on other wallpapers.
The back featuring the same overlay technique, but unpainted.
