A beautiful pair of Chinese hardwood (probably huanghuali) and burl display stands. The large floating panels of burl wood (yingmu) are surrounded by a shaped frame of hardwood that displays the subtle contrast and figuring, as well as the shimmer typical of huanghuali. The tops were most likely originally a pair of 19th century cabinet doors, while the apron and legs were created in the 1970’s.
